I enjoyed making this record a lot. I made it with my go-to guy, guitar wizard and engineer Henry Nagle. We didn't sweat the small stuff at all this time, and it ended up sounding more like me sitting in my apartment and just playing music for my own pleasure than anything else I've recorded.

The arrangements are sparse, the songs are narrative and lyrical, and the vibe is, I hope, both witty and heartfelt, with John Prine as a guiding star.

I play the rhythm guitar. A lot of finger-picking. I also sing, such as it is.

Henry Nagle plays the lead guitar, the bass, some keys, some mandolin, some percussion. He also produced the thing. I think he sings some back-up somewhere too!

Angie Heimann sings some great harmonies, occasionally joined by Cas Sochaki. They have a great band called The Blushin' Roulettes.

Dan Ford plays drums on a few songs.

Brendan McGuigan did the art.

That's my friend Gage on the cover with me; he lives at Oregon Donkey Sanctuary.

Leo London mastered it and put it out on Professional Guest Records.
